Fashion Week is almost here, and I am so excited. IT IS MY FIRST FASHION WEEK! As I get ready to run in and out of shows, take pictures, report and meet people (check out full coverage on Dream Sequins, as well as here), I'm packing key items that will help me look fresh and rested, even though I may only get a few hours of sleep throughout the week. Looking and feeling good doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, so here are my 5 beauty must-haves for a Fashion Week Survival Kit, straight out of your local drugstore.
These are great at removing shine, while leaving makeup intact. Your skin is left with a fresh, matte finish. These are great for on-the-go application. Tamara’s Tip: if you don’t have these handy and your face is so shiny your friends can see their reflection, run to the bathroom and blot with a piece of a toilet seat cover. Just make sure you use a clean one.
Spritz a bit of this all over your face after you apply your makeup to set it and place. Throughout the day, mist your visage for a quick pick-me-up. D’accord?
Constantly washing your hands leaves your hands parched. This lotion will help you lock in the moisture on your skin, and will last you through a few hand washes. This clean, non-greasy lotion absorbs quickly and since it is fragrance-free and gentle, it’s perfect for gals with sensitive skin.
Talking, drinking and shelling out air kisses will leave your pucker begging for some TLC. Applying a moisturizing and healing lip balm like Carmex is a must.
Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller Gel
Waking up after a long night of parties and after-parties, followed by hours of uploading pictures and postings is going to be tough. Looking at yourself in the mirror, glaring at the bags under your eyes is going to be even tougher. This little roller is essentially “Sleep in a Bottle”. Roll it on your undereye area and gently tap the serum with your index finger. Wait a few minutes – you’ve packed those bags away!
